The IKEA trip was a bust in terms of finding exact bedding or fabric that we wanted for the nursery, but we did find a print that we are going to now use as the color scheme. The colors here aren’t quite as good as they are in person, but you can get the general idea.
My objection to most bedding is that it is gender specific. We are painting the nursery yellow, but I’m not crazy about using only pastels or baby animals in diapers, the most common gender neutral option. One of the things we really like about this print is that it has so many colors, we can pull in accessories that make the room more feminine or masculine, without making everything gender specific.
Now we just have to find fabric somewhere to achieve the rest of the bedding.
