Road Trip Recap

Capone has been quite busy for the last several days. Since we have been down in Arkansas, we’ve spent a lot of time in car visiting people, but Capone has also learned some new skills. One of which was talking Rakicy into creating a Gmail address for him so he could post on the blog.*

We did the whole trip entirely in cloth diapers. I started to pack some disposables, but decided at the last minute to leave them at home. We ended up using Bumgenius 3.0 on the road and prefolds and covers when we were at my parents’ house. Even with 2 days in the car, I was sold on the cloth. We made it to Arkansas without any diaper rash and the only waredrobe changes we had were do to Capone’s decision to pee while we were changing the diaper.

He was quite the trooper on this trip. We arrived in the middle of a heat wave and despite temps well over 100, he hardly complained as we dragged him all over Arkansas.

He got to meet his great grandparents.**

He went shopping, met up with lots of friends, was the guest of honor at a baby shower, and hung out at the pool. By the time we got home, we were all exhausted. Hopefully tomorrow, Capone will get to blog about all of the things he learned on the trip, but for now, we’re all going to bed.

*Unfortunately, it was past his bedtime by the time we got home and unpacked, so you’ll have to watch for his post in the coming days.

**In addition to being the only grandchild on both side of the family, Capone is also the only great grandchild as well.
