Last week, I saw a very cute picture of a baby who was smiling from inside of a pumpkin, and I decided that we must have this very same picture for our own holiday collection. So, on Saturday when we went to a pumpkin carving party, Rakicy begrudgingly agreed to carve leg holes out of pumpkin. I was bound and determined that by the end of the weekend, we would have a baby in pumpkin photo shoot complete with fabulous pictures.
We ran into a couple of problems:
- The initial pumpkin carving was late at night, so we had to wait until Sunday for the photos.
- Because the pumpkin carving party was late at night, Capone went to bed late on Saturday.
- Because Capone went to bed late on Saturday, he wasn’t exactly in the best mood on Sunday.
- We had to do the pictures on Sunday because I didn’t want to put Capone in a rotting pumpkin.
I was fairly certain that we could convince Capone to cooperate since we set up the picture inside. (We also didn’t want to be arrested for child abuse for having a naked baby outside in Illinois in October even if it would have been a cuter picture).
Capone was NOT. A. FAN. of this photo shoot. He instantly tried to climb back out of the pumpkin
And then when he did look at the camera, he made this face…
I should have known this wouldn’t work, as he makes a very similar face every time I put him in the Bumbo.

Hahahaha awww, it would have been such an adorable shot! Well, I think it's adorable anyway even with Capone not being such a happy camper.
We had a similar situation arise with our son: http://marfmom.wordpress.com/2009/10/17/pumpkin-patch/
