Procrastination Pays

I was supposed to be entering grades last night, but instead I was at a Twitter Party for DiaperShops.com #9th birthday.  And that hour of procrastination turned out to be worth it.

The party had just started and I was trying to multitask (i.e. tweet and grade and watch Bones) and then my Tweetgrid went nuts.  I got so many tweets so fast that it froze.

This is why…

I am so excited to try out the new iPad.  Mostly because our current laptop is dying a slow death and we have never been the type to spend much money on electronics.  We don’t buy new gadgets, we wait until the price comes down and we are the only people left who haven’t upgraded.  Case in point, we’ve only had texting plans for about a year and a half.

Anyway back to the Twitter party and this wondeful gift.  We’ve been wonderfully blessed by this and other cloth diaper giveaways and contests.  We’ve won a few diapers, some diaper rash cream, etc and honestly have gotten to try products that we wouldn’t have otherwise purchased either because of need or cost.

So I’m going to pay it forward.  I’m in the process of purchasing a small selection of some of our favorite cloth diaper and baby products and we’re going to run a birthday giveaway of our own.

Capone is turning 1 on the 12th, so we’ll celebrate with a giveaway.  This isn’t a sponsored giveaway.  I have purchased all of the products that I will be giving away, but we’ve been very blessed this week, so I’d like to pass along the good fortune.

Before we start though, I’ve got a question.  Shall we do 1 really big giveaway package or 4 smaller ones?  Currently on the menu is: a one size pocket diaper, wetbag, cloth diaper friendly rash cream, a medium swim diaper, and a pair of infant/toddler leg warmers (or a $7 gift certificate to my Etsy store). Brands and colors will be announced shortly after I details finalized.

  1. I’m always a fan of more smaller giveaways because then there are more chances to win.

As someone who does.not.ever.win.anything, I say do one big package. Give it all away at once so those who never win don’t get let down 4 or 5 times, just one.
And your comment box says that my comment is too short….and still dying that…My bad! I don’t know how much longer I should make it…

Congratulations on winning! That rocks! :0) This sounds like tons of fun and is so generous of you! I would recommend doing one giveaway that has a few winners (so people can get their entries in one place and go for multiple prizes), but with one win per person only. I think you should do some of the bigger things individually and combine the smaller things.
